Childswork was out on the local Long Island scene last Thursday April 19th at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury to show our support for autism awareness and promote all the great things celebrities are doing to give back. Dee Snider and other big names such as Debbie Gibson and Chad Kimball from Memphis were there to rock out and support the Sid Jacobson JCC programs for children, teens and adults with autism spectrum disorders and their families. The event was filled with great music, great people, and an overall great time. Not only was there tons of big names there as Eric Bloom & Buck Dharma of Blue Oyster Cult, John Hampson of Nine Days, Randy Jackson of Zebra, Mark Mendozo of Twisted Sister, Bobby Rondinelli of Rainbow and Black Sabbath and Leslie West of Mountain to come and see. But the event added another element to make your night worth while with great prizes such as signed guitar from Dee Snider himself! Overall our Childswork team had an amazing time. We were able to get some amazing behind the scenes photos to share with you and met so many amazing and supportive people that share the same goals as us in the battle against autism.
