ChildsWork/ChildsPlay Products Featured At The Common Core Learning Standards Symposium

The Guidance Group is pleased to announce their attendance of the Children’s First Network 412’s Common Core Learning Standards Symposium Friday, June 1st 2012, in Brooklyn, NY. The Guidance Group was there as a significant sponsor to show their support for local New York City schools by providing resources and educational based products for our schools. The event included around one thousand attendees ranging from teachers, principals, guidance counselors, officials, students and more. With the Symposium running throughout the entire day attendees were able to enjoy many informative and special performances from students such as “Stop in the Name of Love” and “I Will Survive” performed by the PS 376 band, and great youth development projects like “Stand Up! Speak Out!” by PS 157. The Guidance Group was there throughout the event with a table display that showed their best selling products from ChildsWork/ChildsPlay, The Bureau For At-Risk Youth, Red Ribbon Resources, and Courage to Change and engaging with all attendees about each of these brands. They provided 150 students with Red Ribbon student kits that promote anti-drug behaviors and gave away mini-gift bags with Red Ribbon products for each student that attended the event. Through Children’s First Network 412’s Common Core Learning Standards Symposium. The Guidance Group was able to show from the ground floor that their mission is to provide New York City Schools with educational products that serve to help children with emotional and social issues, and offer them preventative tools to supplement for the programs schools are using when it comes to preventing bullying, violence, drug use and other dangerous behaviors. Their goal is to be able to provide beneficial resources that students find both engaging and informative, that also help school officials’ translate a hard message to students in an easier manner. Overall the event was a huge success and The Guidance Group is proud to announce their support and attendance in aiding to further enhance the way children are learning fundamental tools when it comes to hard topics like bullying, violence, and drug use.
